Democratic Women of Southeastern Arizona
Pat Fleming is helping Elisabeth Tyndall to gather poll monitors for the upcoming election and reached out to DWSEA for our help. This fits right in with the DWSEA pledge to promote the Democratic Party. Therefore DWSEA is including Pat's email message (see below) and ask if you are able, that you help.
Fellow Democrats, can you step up?
Be an official, Cochise County Democratic Party appointed Poll Observer on November 3, 2020.
Many have already committed to a Vote Center and time slot. If you can commit to 2 hours or more at one of the 17 Vote Centers on Election Day, our Party needs you.
Observers are needed at any/all of the 17 Vote Centers, and it’s wonderful that a few Vote Centers are fully covered by volunteers. The other side is that there are still some locations that have yet to have a Democrat there to observe. Only 1 Democrat Observer (and 1 GOP Observer) is allowed inside the Vote Center at a time, so the reason we are specifically scheduling volunteers.
How about YOU?
Volunteers will be vetted and appointed by CCDP Chair, Elisabeth Tyndall, and names will be submitted using specific forms to Cochise County Elections Director no later than October 12, 2020.
There is specific guidance on responsibilities that will be distributed to scheduled Volunteers at a later date, basically it’s sitting in a designated seat and “observing” the as voters process through.
In order to get a great list of Volunteers scheduled, we will need to hear from you as soon as possible, with your contact information and requested dates/times/locations, cutoff/deadline is yet to be determined.
Contact for this recruiting and scheduling Observers project is Pat Fleming at email firstname.lastname@example.org . Pat is looking forward to hearing from you.
Let's be vigilant... and turn our communities blue, and bluer!
